Powter |
| |
John Powter was
raised in the North Texas area where he attended
the University of North Texas. He graduated
from UNT with a degree in Risk Management. Upon
graduation, John accepted a position with Arthur
J. Gallagher -- one of the top 10 insurance
agencies in the world. While at Gallagher, John
became their first agent ever to be selected
to attend Chubb Insurance’s underwriting
school. This involved an intensive study of
insurance coverage of all types. Once completed,
John was placed in Gallagher’s Alternative
Risk Department – brainstorming solutions
for large, difficult accounts. In 1993, John
received the Domino’s franchisees’
portfolio to service. By 1994 he had opened
his own agency, John Powter Insurance Agency
Inc., specializing in insuring Domino’s
franchises. He has since gained a reputation
for providing superior premiums, coverage, and
customer service to his 600+ Domino’s
franchises. At this time, Powter Insurance,
Inc. insures more Domino’s franchisees
than any other agency in the U.S. John currently
runs his office in Collin County, Texas, where
he resides with his wife and partner, Dianne,
and their two children. |

Starrett |

35 years experience
in insurance industry as account manager, producer,
agency owner, accounting and bonding. Hold a
CIC designation. Find continuing education and
customer service are a must in todays heavy
competition. |
Lee
Scheibach
Lee has more than
35 years experience in the Insurance Industry.
Her background includes that of an agency owner,
commercial underwriter, agency accountant, agency
manager, and most recently, a training consultant
for an agency automation provider. Lee holds
an Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology
and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and
Computer Information Systems. She has been a
licensed Property & Casualty agent since
1973 and holds a CIC designation. In her free
time, she enjoys boating, photography and community
theater. |

Wall |

I was licensed
in 1979, and have worked in the Independent
Insurance Agency business for 36 years. The
last 25 years have been in the commercial line
area. The insurance business has made great
strides during this time. I have worked for
Powter Insurance Agency Inc. for two years.
The part of the job I enjoy the most is getting
to know my customers and talking to them, I
feel I do a more efficient job when I know the
insured. I was born into a military family in
Gatesville Texas, and had the unique opportunity
to see many parts of the world. Our family moved
from Houston to Plano Texas, in 1999. I love
grandchildren and dogs |
| Helen
Blass |

Helen Blass was
recruited to the Powter team in 2001. Bringing
over 42 years of bookkeeping and administrative
experience, she has proven to be an invaluable
member of our organization. Helen and her husband,
Jerry, owned and ran Cannonball Rental Company
for 18 years before selling their enterprise
to enjoy an early retirement in the Austin area.
Upon returning to Collin County several years
ago, Helen was talked into starting a second
career with Powter Insurance. |

Self |

I am a McKinney,
Texas native. After graduating from McKinney
High School, I went to work for a local insurance
agent and worked for about 2 ½ years. After
several years of being a housewife and mother,
I came back to the insurance business in 1985.
I have been working for Powter Insurance for
almost two years now and for the past almost
15 years I have held the designation of CISR.
I love my job at Powter Insurance. |

Cody
Boren |

Cody Boren joined
the Powter sales team in January of 2005.
He has spent most of his formative years in
Collin County pursuing work that focused on
service. The last 5 years of his career
Cody devoted his time and efforts in helping
business owners with their individual insurance
plans specializing in non-qualified retirement
plans. Focusing on the business owners
needs qualified him for the million dollar roundtable.
Cody’s focus on customer service continues
in his pledge to help his clients get more for
their insurance dollar. He has done this
by providing options many agents don’t
have access to. Last week he demonstrated
this by educating his client on little known
provisions in their insurance plan saving the
client 20% in premium. He lives with his family
of 3 boys and beloved wife in Melissa TX where
he volunteers as Captain in the Melissa Fire
Department. |

Ray |

Stacey Ray joined
Powter Insurance is November of 2004, she continued
to rise through the ranks of Powter Insurance
first as a business development manager and
then quickly moved to outside sales where she
continues to shine. Year to date she is
the top producer at Powter. Prior to her
insurance career in 2001, she inspected hotel
and apartment properties. |

Kristin
Dodd |
| |
Licensed at
the age of 18, I joined the Powter Insurance
team in April of 2005. I started with inside
clientele development by making cold calls for
commercial insurance. From there, I started
the Personal Lines department for home and auto
insurance. Now I have moved into managing our
licensing for the entire agency and handle many
other administrative duties. In May of 2006,
I obtained my associates degree in paralegal
studies and plan on using that in furthering
my insurance career. I am a member of the Daughters
of the American Revolution, Daughters of the
Confederacy, and have received national recognition
for my piano abilities in contests around the
US. |

Ron
Brown |
| |
Canadian born, was raised in the Cleveland Ohio
area and graduated with a Marketing degree from
Bowling Green State University in 1967. Shortly
after graduating was drafted into the US Army
where he served in Vietnam for 15 months. Joined
CNA insurance as a brokerage rep in their Special
Risk Division and later as sales manger for
their Houston office. Moved to Arlington TX
in 1977 and joined local agency which he later
purchased in 1998 and subsequently merged with
Powter Insurance Agency. In the community Ron
has served as President of Arlington YMCA, Independent
Insurance Agents of Tarrant County, District
Chairman and Council Activities Chairman for
the BSA and helped form a Boy Scout Troop 20
years ago in which he is still active as an
Assistant Scoutmaster. Ron achieved the designation
as a Certified Insurance Counselor in 1984.
Ron’s clientele ranges from a small one
person contractor to a multi state computer
programming company. Currently residing in Arlington
with his spouse Barbara who teaches at Arlington
High School and proud parents of twin sons Darin
and Jason

John Mc Spadden |

I
was born in Breckenridge, Texas and have lived
within 120 mile radius until this present
time. I graduated from High School in May
1943. I joined the Merchant Marine
in November 1944 until September 1946. I served
in the Pacific, Atlantic and Mediterranean
War Zones during World War II. I was employed
as time and motion study engineer for ten
years with Armour and Company. I was privileged
to take job methods and training courses,
attending one day a week for five years. I
entered into the insurance business full time
in May 1958. I was an independent agent until
March 1976. I then joined a corporation with
two other agents until February 1984. I then
went back as an independent agent until May
1991, at which time I joined Anchor Insurance
as a principal. Anchor sold and I remained
as Producer. In March 2007 I joined Powter
Insurance Inc. as a producer. My desire is
to finish my career with this firm.
Larry Davisson
I join the Powter agency with over thirteen
years experience in the insurance industry. I
have worked in both the personal and commercial
side of the business and believe the clients
needs always come first. I am honored to be a
part of the the most client-concerned, forward
thinking agency in the business. My expertise
lie in the staffing, hospitality, and
multi-family arena. I grew up in West Texas and
am a proud alumnus of Texas Tech University. I
reside in Allen, TX with my wife Victoria and
our amazing son Saxton.
